Metadata-driven discovery applies automation to understand and create visibility into large heterogeneous data assets. This fact-based visibility of the “health” of current data assets can be used to:

  • Justify initiation and prioritization of sustainable governance practices – people, process & tools.

  • Drive & measure continuous improvements in creation, processing, management, usage & retention of the data assets.

It’s evident from studies and our experience that data preparation and process handovers take most of the time within data and analytics development processes, metadata and data is handed over between different development phases and teams spanning across an entire lifecycle of a solution.

Metadata-driven Development embeds usage of collaborative metadata capabilities into the development processes. All processes can consume and contribute into a common repository. Process handovers are simplified, standardized, integrated and automated. Business Information Model (BIM) linked to the Metadata assets enables rapid business driven prototyping and test data preparation.
