Level:  Case Study

Your data or analytics program will require significant investment in resources, time and organizational commitment.  Very often these programs fail to meet expectations due to the complexity of the topics being addressed not always translatable to value statements that can be understood by business stakeholders.  This session will describe methods to monetize the achievements of your program using metrics and values that resonate with stakeholders and executive leadership by covering each of the areas in an enterprise program (Data Governance, Business Analytics, Information Architecture, Program & Change Management).  Additionally, we will discuss both the "enterprise program" approach as well as micro-case studies of success that were revealed during the evolution of the program as opportunities were identified and acted upon.

  • Each pillar of the data and analytics ecosystem (Data Management, Data Governance, Business Analytics, Information Architecture, Program Management) represents an area of opportunity to provide tangible value to your organization's business objectives.
  • Organizations are often not nimble by nature, your program must lead with the benefits it advocates as well as an acceptable path to success, in order to get sponsorship and adoption.
  • How to incrementally lay out the call to action by onboarding key resources in a matrixed fashion to ensure your program's success.
  • What happens when you encounter resistance?  What happens when you succeed beyond expectations?  Managing the iterations that inevitably arise through each life cycle.
  • How does this affect operations, revenue and risk?Communicate, communicate, COMMUNICATE!
