With the rise of Big Data, new roles have emerged. Suprisingly, many companies have not kept up with this evolution. They do not have the right job definitions, training, and organizations to effectively keep up with the increasing demand to spin large, semi-structured, fast moving data into insight gold. Often, employees get stuck spending most of their time on work that is outside their expertise and passion. This talk will help attendees identify and understand these issues and provide guidance on how to build analytic teams for the new Big Data world.
Mr. Tilson has spent 18+ years implementing enterprise data solutions for Fortune 500 companies. He is deeply passionate about data-driven culture, agile delivery, and data governance. Over the last 5 years at Amazon, he led the re-definition of its analytical job families, founded Analyticon, and built the data organization and infrastructure that enabled the Lending business to scale exponentially.
